10/19/2007 – NBCWaRN-AIM wins 1st Place Award. Greg Donarum and Steve Ehrman designed and built the NBCWaRN-AIM software and supported it on site during the CWID07 demonstration.  Their outstanding programming capabilities and dedication to work exemplify the OptiMetrics' attitude toward our customers and epitomize the Company mission statement.  In recognition of their outstanding work and dedication, the IAEM has selected the NBCWaRN-AIM software as the first place winner for this year's IAEM 2007 Technology & Innovation Award. The announcement follows:

(Falls Church, Va.) The International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) has announced the winners of the IAEM 2007 Public Awareness Awards, Technology & Innovation Awards, Partners in Preparedness Awards, the Business & Industry Preparedness Award, and the Membership Award. Awards will be presented at the IAEM 55 th Annual Conference & EMEX 2007, Nov. 11-14, 2007, Reno, Nevada, where the IAEM Awards & Recognition Committee also will announce the winners of the IAEM Career Excellence Award, the Academic Recognition Award, the Clayton R. Christopher Award, Executive Citations, and Presidential Citations.

Technology & Innovation Award (Division 2, State/Regional National Government, International, or Non-Profit Organization)

    • First Place: The Integrated Information Management System (IIMS), that bridges civilian, U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security, and U.S. Dept. of Defense domains by supporting the exchange of emergency communications, like Common Alerting Protocol (CAP 1.1) messages and polygons. IIMS demonstrates that interoperability is possible among multiple organizations and disparate technologies.

 

2/15/2007 NBCWaRN CHOSEN FOR CWID 2007 DEMO. NBCWaRN software components will be used by both military and civil response personnel to mitigate terrorist and accidental release of hazardous materials at the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration (CWID) 2007. The purpose of CWID is to identify and test C4ISR technologies that enable the exchange of critical, time-sensitive information between military organizations, international coalitions and civilian agencies. To be eligible for consideration, candidate technologies must be capable of being placed into an operational environment within 12-18 months.

1/8/2007 NBCWaRN DEVELOPERS NAMED TO DTRA TRANSITION TEAM OF THE YEAR. OptiMetrics' NBCWaRN software development team was honored by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency's Joint Science and Technology Office at the 2007 Chemical Biological Information Systems Conference held in Austin, Texas. The Transition Team of the Year, 2006 award recognized our team members' outstanding performance in transitioning the Integrated Information Management System to the Joint Operation Effects Federation acquisition program.

10/26/2006 NORTHROP GRUMMAN HONORS OPTIMETRICS' NBC SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT TEAM. Northrop Grumman Corporation awarded its distinguished 2006 Supplier Excellence Award to OptiMetrics for its vital contributions to the JWARN software development program. OptiMetrics met Northrop Grumman's most demanding criteria for delivery, quality, cost and schedule management, and customer satisfaction.

7/17/2006 NBCWaRN PARTNERS WITH TESS-COM IN ITALY. NBCWaRN is pleased to announce it has formed a strategic partnership with TESS-COM Italia, S.R.L. to jointly market, sell, distribute, and support NBCWaRN in Italy, NATO and the EU. Tess-Com, headquartered near Milan, Italy is an established provider of simulation solutions and technologies for the design, development, integration and operation of complex systems. Company activities include the distribution of COTS tools for modeling and simulation, and the development of real-time simulation and training systems.
